Local Fundraiser Set to Celebrate its Silver Anniversary

The Worsley Operating Corporation is all set to host its 25th Summer Swing Golf Tournament on June 3rd 2008.   All proceeds raised during this tournament go directly to the local chapter’s Boy Scouts of America to provide summer camp scholarships for Scouts with financial needs and the council’s inner-city scouting programs.

An auction and dinner party will be held at the Holiday Inn Sunspree on Wrightsville Beach the evening of June 2nd and a special tribute to the late Mr. Cecil Worsley, Jr. will take place the night of the auction.  Mr. Worsley was an Eagle Scout and an avid supporter of the Boy Scouts.  HIs presence at this year's tournament will be surely missed.

We hope this year's auction and tournament will be even more successful than any in the past.   In 25 years we have raised over $600,000.00 for the Boy Scouts.  Thank you to all of our vendors for their support of this worthy cause.
