Worsley Companies, owner and operator of Scotchman and Young's convenience stores in North and South Carolina is now owned by Sun Capitals Partners, Inc., a private investment firm.
With the financial support of such a large and successful corporate investors such as Sun Capital the Worsley Operating Corporation will be able to pursue many new opportunities in the convenience store market such as the aquisition of 88 Lil Cricket convenience stores in South Carolina that is now in progress. With the conclusion of the sale of the company Worsley appointed Jeffery W. Turpin as its President and CFO. Turpin has worked at Worsley for 13 years and has expressed his excitement over the new opportunities afforded to Worsley by its new investors. His enthusiasm is shared throughout the company as employees work together to make the transition of ownership smooth and succussful.
